Body/Energy Work
Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves the insertion of very fine needles through the skin and tissues at specific points on the body. It is used to encourage the body's natural healing abilities to reduce or relieve pain and improve function of affected areas/organs of the body. Acupuncture is safe and effective and is often successfully used as an alternative to medications or even surgery. Relief is often obtained when traditional medical therapy has failed. Other modalities of TCM such as moxibustion cupping and tuina (Chinese massage) may be used along with acupuncture therapy.
Craniosacral Therapy
A gentle facilitation. Craniosacral therapy is a hands-on approach that involves "listening with the fingers" to the body's subtle rhythms and any patterns of inertia and congestion. The emphasis of treatment is to encourage and enhance the body's own self-healing and self-regulating capabilities, even in the most acute resistances and pathologies. The work is very gentle and non-invasive. Subtle suggestions are introduced through the practitioner's hands to help restore balance in areas that have been affected by inertia. With this skillful touch the practitioner can assist the body to resolve patterns of disorder, thereby encouraging a revitalization of tissues with the healing forces of the Breath of Life. Furthermore, the quality of therapeutic presence of the practitioner can become a reflective mirror for the patient and their potential for change.
Reflexology
Reflexology, a cousin of acupuncture, involves pressing reflex areas on the feet that correspond to organs and systems of the body. Foot Reflexology cleanses the mind and body and revitalizes energy."
Raindrop Therapy
Raindrop Therapy is the specific application of essential oils along the spine, bringing structural and electrical alignment. Helping to calm nerves and clearing the energy centers of the body as well as spinal fluid. The essential oils used in raindrop therapy have been clinically tested to have antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. The oils help to flush out toxins and kill dormant viruses and bacteria along the spine, restoring health to the entire system. The client receiving raindrop therapy will lie facedown as oils are dropped along the back from a height of 6-12 inches. The oils are then gently massaged in with a “feathering” motion. The therapist will then place a hot towel strategically along the back allowing the oils to further absorb into the body. A truly blissful experience.
Reiki
Reiki involves the transfer of universal energy from source to the practitioner and then to the client, enhancing the body's natural ability to heal itself through the balancing of energy. Reiki seeks to restore order to the body whose vital energy has become unbalanced.
